Personal Mentor/Muse Sessions
Wouldn’t it be amazing to have your own personal muse? Someone to support you, show you some new ways of approaching your work, to encourage you to be who you are and honor the artist within.
If you’ve been yearning to express yourself more fully, I invite you to Inner Path Photography Personal Mentor/Muse Sessions with me. I’ll teach you new ways to approach your photography from a more contemplative, feeling perspective; introduce you to techniques of seeing and resonating with your world, and help you to connect with what your original intention was when you first picked up a camera, what you would like it to be in the future, and how to make that happen.
You’ll renew and enhance your enjoyment of shooting, have new insights into your work, become clearer and more confident about your personal vision, and be inspired to create at a whole new level.
And, of course, your photographs will improve, as will your joy in life.
How will we work together?
* To begin, I’ll send you a personal questionnaire, with questions that will inspire your thinking about your photography, why you do it, where you find joy, what gets in the way, what you’re yearning for. From your answers, I’ll get some ideas of how I can best help you express your inner vision, or move the project along that you are working on.
* We’ll then meet. We can do this in person, phone, Skype/Facetime – however is best for your time and place.
* If you are working on a special project or idea, we will customize your time for that intention. We can talk beforehand about what is best for you to bring to the meeting or send me, and how we’ll work together.
* If you would like my more structured Mentor/Muse session you’ll choose up to 15 images that you have made – 10 which you like, and 5 that you’re not so crazy about. If you’re not in the same town as I’m currently working, send these to me digitally, or post them on a website that I can have access to. We’ll use these images along with your questionnaire answers as the foundation for our session(s).
Our time together evolves naturally – you’ll find that new thoughts and discoveries come out of being together that are exactly what you need to happen for your work. Come with an open mind to have a new experience (as you already do as a creative artist.)
Some opportunities in our time together:
* Discover at a deeper level why you’re drawn to photography and the purpose of photography in your life
* Clarify what you personally want to share through your work
* Receive specific feedback on how your images impact and move the viewer
* Learn techniques, both inner and technical, for how to improve your images so they’re more in alignment with your intention as an artist
* Become re-inspired if you’ve been feeling discouraged or stuck in your creativity (or have a camera that just never seems to make it off the shelf).
* Enjoy even more greatly the experience of magic and joy that results when you’re photographing and are able to create your unique expression of life.
Feel free to bring:
* The questions/challenges that you experience while shooting,
* Thoughts about what gives you joy or disappointment when reviewing your images;
* Blocks, issues, and areas of interest that come up for you as an overall part of your curiosity and exploration of being a photographer.
* A project you are working on that you would like to move to a more satisfying level
* Hope and dreams about how you want photography to fit into your life
Format:
Sessions can be held in person, or through Skype, phone, or e-mail exchange.
Formats are fluid, and customized to you.
Minimum 1 hour, with 1/2 hour increments after.
Ideas:
* You have a special project, with specific goals that need to be met by a due date – we spend one hour totally focussed on what you need to have that happen
* You want to learn more about the Inner Path of Photography approach to shooting and life – we spend 1.5 hours looking at your work, exploring where you are now, introducing you to new techniques and direction
* You prefer to be more active – you book 2-3 hours and after reviewing your questionnaire and your work, we go out and shoot together, learning Inner Path techniques and other tips to improve your work on the spot
* You want a more intense experience:
Recently I had a client come from out of the country specifically to work with me and my unique Inner Path concepts.
We created a mini-retreat format where we met for a total of 6 hours: 2 hours a day for 3 days in a row. We started by reviewing his work, discussing his creative life, looking at specific needs, then I sent him off with “homework.” Each day we would then review the homework, and see where that took him in practice and reflections. After discussion, I would teach new techniques and suggest directions for next steps, he would then go apply those techniques, reflect, come back, review, etc.
His experience with me resulted in a reconnection to his spiritual experience of photography, discovery and affirmation of a project of photography and words that he had dismissed as unimportant earlier, and an increased focus of intention and improvement of his individual images.
Anything is possible.
Once you open yourself up to the inspiration and love you have for photography,
you’ll make amazing discoveries for your work, and your life.
Pricing:
I have an hourly rate, and also adjust that rate for longer time commitments/packages.
If you take one of my classes, there are also discounts available for personal mentor/muse sessions.

NOTE:
These mentor/muse sessions are for both “amateurs” and “professionals.” I’ve found that sometimes people hesitate to call themselves a “photographer,” thinking there is some elevated criteria that must be met in order to hold that definition.
I’m interested in helping people to express their inner vision, to be creative, to share how they see the world with others, and to live in the world in alignment with their essence.
I want you to experience the great satisfaction that results when you align your inner feelings with your outer creations.
Allow yourself to relax and enjoy the uplifting process of photography.
I’m looking forward to seeing your images and assisting you in
the Inner Path of Photography, “Honoring Inner. Creating Outer.”
